When attempting to lose weight, motivation is a key part of the process. People are often misguided and feel that a diet is the'only way' to lose weight. Instead, what is needed is a change in your lifestyle. Here are some simple suggestions for changingyour lifestyle to start losing unwanted pounds, while not starvingyourself:

    - Eat something small as soon as you wake up in the morning. A low calorie granola bar or a small bowl of cereal is perfect. Having food in your stomach as soon as you wake ensures that your metabolism starts up early in the day.

    - Go for a walk or run. Many people fail to see the benefits of exercising, as they are twofold - one is that it helps build muscles in your legs, which increases the amount of calories your bodyautomatically burns each day. A second benefit is that the process of walking and running actually burns a few calories, and increases your metabolism for up to 7 hours after you run.

    - Eat slowly. It takes roughly 20 minutes for your stomach to 'tell' your brain that you're actually full. If you eat slowly, you'll find you get full quicker than you think - and you won't have a stomach ache after you eat.

    - Jump onto the diet soda bandwagon. If you're a soda addict, then a significant way to reduce your calorie intake is to drink diet soda instead - soda companies are making their diet sodas taste morelike the regular sodas, while still having 0 calories and 0 sugar. Of course, if you don't drink soda, then it's probably better if you don't drink any at all. Another alternative is flavored water - there are many no-calorie waters out there, with a huge variety of flavors.

    - Do push-ups and sit-ups, or lift weights. Again, building muscle not only automatically increases the normal amount of calories your body burns on a daily basis, it also burns calories when you do the exercises and tones your body.

    - Of course, dietary supplements have been known to help with the fat burning process. You can find VitaminDepotOnline's entire selection of dietary products.

Using these methods, I have personally lost 11 pounds over the last monthand a half. I'm not starving myself by any means, but just by spending a few minutes of my day to do these things, I've already begun to feel a lot better about my body.
