Wolfberry is found to have the highest ORAC values of all fruits. Based on laboratory analysis of Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity (ORAC), a method set by scientists at the Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University in Boston, the ORAC value of wolf-berry is 25,300 units per 100 grams, nearly eight times that of pomegranate.7 Compared with other highly potent antioxidants derived from traditional Chinese herbs, wolfberry was even more effective in scavenging superoxide radicals and in preventing their formation.8
